Position Overview
This is a public notice for a resume repository supporting multiple grade levels (GS-11 to GS-15) across various locations. Positions are filled using Direct/Expedited Hire Authorities, and applications may be referred to hiring managers at any time during or after the posting period. Because of the volume of submissions, applicant statuses will not be updated.

Duties and Responsibilities
Duties may vary by grade level but could include:

Acting as a recognized expert in statistical applications for complex public health initiatives.
Analyzing and interpreting data for diverse audiences, including technical and non-technical users.
Collaborating with epidemiologists, statisticians, and other public health professionals on studies.
Preparing comprehensive reports addressing methodology, data quality, and relevance to public health issues.

Qualifications
Basic Requirements:
Degree:

15 semester hours in statistics or a combination of mathematics and statistics (at least 6 in statistics).
9 semester hours in related fields, such as physical/biological sciences, medicine, education, engineering, or social sciences. Courses should include statistical methods, research methodologies, or electronic data processing.
OR: Equivalent education and experience, including professional statistical work in sampling, analysis, and statistical techniques.

Grade-Specific Requirements:

GS-11:Three years of higher-level graduate education leading to a Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree.
OR one year of specialized experience (e.g., planning and conducting studies, analyzing scientific data).
OR a combination of education and experience.
GS-12:One year of specialized experience equivalent to GS-11 (e.g., using statistical methods to analyze and report public health issues).
GS-13:One year of specialized experience equivalent to GS-12 (e.g., designing and conducting statistical research, analyzing national survey data, and reporting health-related topics).
GS-14:One year of specialized experience equivalent to GS-13 (e.g., providing national and international statistical guidance, conducting public health research).
GS-15:One year of specialized experience equivalent to GS-14 (e.g., leading survey methods, designing research projects, and publishing findings).

Requirements
U.S. Citizenship required.
Males born after Dec. 31, 1959, must be registered with Selective Service.
May undergo a background/security investigation.
Direct deposit required.
Positions may be subject to drug testing.
May require a one-year probationary period.
A Workplace Flexibilities Agreement may be required for remote positions.

Remote Work
This position is designated as remote, with salaries based on geographic location. General Schedule locality pay tables apply, and Cost of Living Adjustments (COLA) may be available for specific regions.
