The Raw Material Commodity Purchasing Team plays a vital role in procuring metallic materials to support in-house fabrication. With strong partnerships with top-tier suppliers worldwide, team members are involved in all aspects of the purchasing process, including requirement identification, sourcing, order placement, and ensuring timely delivery. Responsibilities
As part of the team, your responsibilities will include:
Synchronizing the supply chain to ensure the procurement of high-quality metallic raw materials delivered to the right place, at the right time.
Serving as an authorized agent of the organization, managing supplier relationships, and overseeing contracts, agreements, and purchase orders.
Collaborating with internal teams and external suppliers to ensure smooth operations and successful outcomes.
Managing inventory levels, purchase orders, and supplier performance to meet operational needs.
Monitoring customer inventory demand and material assets, optimizing supply chain planning to reduce variability and improve efficiency.
Utilizing customer and supplier insights to implement solutions that enhance the supply chain process.
Qualifications
Schedule: 1st Shift: 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM CST
Required Qualifications:
6+ years of experience in supply chain roles, preferably within metallic raw materials, aerospace, or manufacturing industries.
High school diploma or GED.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Teams, Excel, and PowerPoint.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively at all organizational levels.
Exceptional multitasking and prioritization skills.
Project management experience and skills are highly valued.
Highly organized with excellent attention to detail and a process-oriented mindset.
A proven ability to build and nurture positive relationships to achieve desired outcomes.
Preferred Skills:
Strong data analysis and problem-solving skills.
Knowledge or experience in manufacturing processes and materials is advantageous.
Familiarity with MRP systems, with preference given to SAP experience.
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, Supply Chain, or a related field (or equivalent relevant work experience); an MBA is a plus.
